Significant research has provided evidence that warm, loving, and home-like settings are natural learning environments for children during early childhood. While offering the safety and comfort of home, and providing a consistent caregiver throughout the years, family child care is the preferred arrangement for many parents. Having had it's humble beginnings as a Family Child Care Program, Nature Nest recognizes the value of such programs to families and our communities. As a result, Nature Nest mentors and trains Caregivers or Parents interested in starting a Family Child Care Program of their own from the comfort of their own home. When selecting a Family Child Care Program, parents feel a great sense of assurance in selecting a Nature Nest partner program.

Vanessa Pizzi
Owner/Director
of the Califon location
Vanessa is a mom of three, an animal lover and soccer player/coach. She holds a bachelors degree in Sociology with a double minor in Christian Educatin and Criminal Justice. Vanessa's love of animals inspired her to become a certified dog trainer.
Vanessa's experience in Early Childhood Education began one summer many years ago as a camp counselor for a local YMCA. Not long after, Vanessa was an assistant teacher for preschool and toddler aged children at a local well known preschool, directed by Nature's Nest founder Sarah Myriam.
Years after working in the field of Early Childhood Education, Vanessa pursued other professional avenues but stayed in contact with Sarah.
Once she became a mom herlsef and began researching child care options for her own children, she knew there was only one place she trusted...Nature's Nest. Her children attended the Boonton location run by founder Sarah Myriam for a while prior to Vanessa and her family's move to Califon.
After settling into her new home, Vanessa was delighted to hear about the opportunity to operate a Nature's Nest program of her own. She is so looking forward to learning, living, thriving together with your little ones...Naturally!
Communication
Our center(s) proudly use(s) Brightwheel as a convenient way to communicate and share information with parents. Our teahers send daily activity reports via Brightwheel app, whih includes photos of your child, feeding, napping, diapering information, dialy activities in the classrooom and developmental portfolios for each child. Parents are able to access their child's daily report electronically in real time through the Brightwheel app on any mobile device (Android or Apple). Brightwheel is secure, private and easy to use! We look forward to sharing your child's magical moments with you!
